IT Project Manager – Luxembourg (Hybrid, 12+ Month Contract)

We are hiring an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple client-focused IT initiatives for a major financial organisation in Luxembourg. This long-term contract role requires a confident, technically strong project manager with hands-on software development knowledge and a track record of delivering within complex financial environments.

Contract Details

  • Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid)
  • Duration: 12+ months
  • Rate: Competitive daily rate in EUR


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate several simultaneous IT projects from initiation through deployment.
  • Oversee project phases including planning, development, testing, environment setup, and release.
  • Work closely with development teams, challenge timelines, and ensure delivery accountability.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to align deliverables with strategic objectives.
  • Manage risks, issues, milestones, and budgets using JIRA.
  • Produce clear, concise status updates and presentations in PowerPoint.
  • Facilitate transparent communication across technical teams, business users, and senior management.
  • Promote a proactive, solutions-driven mindset within all project discussions.


Required Experience & Skills

  • 5–10 years’ experience as an IT Project Manager.
  • Strong technical grounding with previous software development or engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to confidently challenge developers and technical leads.
  • Background working in large, complex financial organisations is essential.
  • Deep understanding of end-to-end IT project lifecycles, including environment setup and code deployment.
  • Solid stakeholder management skills; assertive, personable, and clear in communication.
  • Familiarity with Luxembourg’s financial sector, including investment funds and CSSF regulations.


Languages

  • English: Fluent (mandatory).
  • French: Highly preferred, due to team composition.
