  • Salary: Up to £80,000+ depending on experience

The Role

Join a specialised engineering team within a leading HealthTech/BioTech organisation developing digital platforms used across scientific, clinical, and laboratory environments. Your work will centre on building and maintaining .NET-based integrations that connect internal systems with external healthcare partners.

You’ll design, refine, and support dataflows that are essential for time-sensitive scientific and clinical processes—ensuring stable, compliant and scalable communication between multiple platforms. This role involves close collaboration with software engineers, integration specialists, technical project teams and operational users.

Non-Negotiables

  • C#/.NET development
  • HL7 OR DICOM OR FHIR experience
  • SQL Server experience
  • Experience delivering data integrations or clinical system connections
  • Comfortable working with compliance-heavy, on-prem environments and clinical workflows

Nice to Haves

  • Blazor front-end exposure
  • API development for healthcare systems
  • Digital pathology or histopathology workflow understanding
  • Experience working with NHS Trusts or diagnostic environments
  • Background with LIMS or imaging systems

What You’ll Work With

  • C#/.NET development (moving toward .NET 8)
  • HL7 messaging, DICOM imaging pipelines or FHIR APIs
  • MS SQL Server (on-premises for hospital compliance)
  • Digital pathology workflows & LIMS integrations
  • Azure DevOps pipelines + Git branching
  • Secure, regulated clinical environments with multi-system interoperability

You will help:

  • Build integrations linking hospitals, labs and imaging systems
  • Migrate legacy APIs and services onto modern .NET architectures
  • Enhance real-world clinical dataflows used daily by pathologists and lab teams
  • Contribute to a forward-thinking digital transformation roadmap within healthcare
  • Work closely with domain experts across pathology, digital imaging and multi-omics

Why Join

You’ll be part of a long-standing engineering function with strong retention and deep domain expertise. This is a chance to work directly on systems that support real clinical diagnostics across the UK, improving digital workflows, modernising legacy services and enabling next-generation diagnostic technologies.
