.NET Developer | .NET 8 & Blazor | HealthTech & BioTech Systems

  • Salary: Mid-Level £28–35k / Senior £43–55k
  • Hybrid: Nottingham (2–3 days/week on-site initially)

Join a well-established biotech organisation developing digital platforms that support scientific, laboratory, and operational workflows. You’ll work within a collaborative engineering team building modern internal tools and customer-facing applications used across research, diagnostics, and laboratory environments.

The Role

You’ll contribute to the development of modern .NET and Blazor applications that underpin the company’s digital ecosystem. This includes building UI components, improving existing systems, and supporting backend services. The engineering team is actively migrating from .NET 4 to .NET 8, with some legacy components still being modernised.

You’ll work closely with senior developers, product managers, and scientific/operational stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable software used throughout the organisation.

Non-Negotiables

  • C# and .NET commercial experience
  • Full stack appreciation as you'll be using Blazor but any front-end experience will be ok as long as you'll be happy using and learning Blazor
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional technical teams

Nice to Haves

  • SQL Server experience
  • Blazor (server or WASM) hands-on experience
  • Azure DevOps and Git workflows experience
  • Exposure to healthcare/lab environments (NHS, LIMS, digital pathology)
  • Understanding of integration patterns or clinical data flows

What You’ll Work With

  • .NET 8 applications (with some legacy API components still in transition)
  • Blazor UI development
  • C# backend services
  • SQL Server (on-prem for compliance-driven environments)
  • Azure DevOps pipelines & Git branching

Why Join

You’ll join a stable engineering group where team members typically stay long-term (6–13 years). The organisation invests heavily in digital transformation, diagnostics, and workflow automation, giving you the opportunity to work in a meaningful scientific domain, build production-grade tools, and contribute to systems used by clinical and research teams across the UK.

The culture is friendly, collaborative, and social, with regular team meetups and company events.
