Network Engineer | £30,000 - £40,000 | 90% Remote (London) | MSP
Are you ready to take the next step in your network engineering career? Our client is looking for a Network Engineer who thrives in a hands-on technical environment and is passionate about providing outstanding support to enterprise-level networks.
In this role, you’ll be a key part of our operations team—owning customer issues, ensuring smooth network performance, and supporting senior engineers with project delivery and infrastructure enhancements.
What You’ll Do
Customer Support & Incident Handling
- Take ownership of technical support requests, ensuring they’re managed professionally from start to finish.
- Diagnose and resolve issues independently or alongside the wider engineering team.
- Maintain service levels through fast, accurate troubleshooting.
- Communicate clearly with customers and colleagues throughout each step of the process.
Network Infrastructure & Operations
- Apply strong knowledge of modern network environments, spanning physical, virtual, and cloud-connected components.
- Work confidently across multi-vendor technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, and Juniper.
- Monitor network performance, identify irregularities, and drive issues to resolution.
- Suggest improvements to enhance stability, resilience, and efficiency.
Systems, Configuration & Automation
- Work across multiple operating systems relevant to network administration and support.
- Perform updates, software deployments, and firmware upgrades across a range of devices.
- Create scripts or lightweight automation to streamline daily tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Progress toward relevant industry certifications as part of continuous development.
Security & Risk Awareness
- Understand modern security risks and how they impact network environments.
- Help safeguard customer infrastructure through proactive monitoring and vulnerability awareness.
- Contribute to strong security hygiene across all operations.
Change, Governance & Documentation
- Support structured change control processes, ensuring changes are planned and implemented safely.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, updates, and configuration changes.
- Assist with preparing change requests and implementing approved work.

- Experience supporting Cisco and Fortinet products
- A motivated engineer with solid hands-on network experience.
- A clear communicator who takes pride in delivering excellent service.
- A problem-solver who can adapt to both independent and team-based tasks.
- Someone who takes responsibility, follows process, and sees tasks through to completion.
- Eager to learn, develop new skills, and work alongside senior engineers on complex challenges.
