We’re looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f) to join our client in the banking sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 2-3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility across architecture, infrastructure, application development and information security activities for multiple Post-Trade IT applications, acting as a key member of the Unit designing, delivering and supporting these domains.
• Design, develop and deliver Web server (httpd), Application Server (RedHat JBoss EAP) and other middleware infrastructures targeting Azure and GCP public cloud via IaaS and PaaS models.
• Contribute to the development of business application Java components, including those running on JBoss EAP.
• Evaluate new infrastructure solutions and innovative technologies with a focus on Cloud Architecture(IaaS/PaaS/SaaS resources, APIs, security, high-availability, data replication, operability).
• Maintain and enhance automation/test frameworks, scripts and DevOps connectors, along with their documentation.
• Participate in approximately six major production implementations per year (Saturday work).
• Autonomously manage interactions with development, infrastructure and information security teams involved in your deliveries.
• Document IT systems architecture and security, including for critical customer-facing Internet applications.
• Collaborate with other Domain Experts and report directly to the Head of Unit.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in computer science.
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, operating and supporting Web application infrastructures using a Web server and a Java application server, preferably httpd and RedHat JBoss EAP.
• Practical experience developing Java code, ideally using JakartaEE APIs.
• Hands-on experience provisioning Microsoft Azure cloud-native resources using Terraform, preferably Terraform Enterprise.
• Solid understanding of multi-tier Web infrastructure challenges, especially high-availability, security, Web servicing and transaction management.
• Ability to take, justify and challenge technical design decisions.
• Practical knowledge of TLS (PKI), including configuration in middleware and certificate/key deployment.
• Ability to structure and document IT architecture, design and security concepts, with strong English technical writing skills.
• Required practical experience with:
• Apache Maven
• IntelliJ and/or Eclipse IDE
• Linux OS
• OpenIDConnect SSO
• Git
• Additional assets include knowledge of:
• Azure Application Gateway, Azure App Service, Microsoft IIS configuration, Jenkins, RedHat OpenShift/Kubernetes, ActiveMQ/JBoss A-MQ, Ansible, Docker.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English; French and German are an asset.
