Java Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Full-stack Java Developer (Spring/Java EE/Angular) (m/f) to join our client in Luxembourg.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 1-3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English. French and German are beneficial.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Java and JavaScript development
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments
• Strong knowledge of Java EE, JDBC, REST APIs, SpringBoot, SpringBatch
• Good SQL and Oracle database skills
• Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of Linux, Windows, and AIX operating systems
• Understanding of SSL/TLS and certificate management
• Familiarity with AngularJS, Polymer, or LIT elements is a plus
• Knowledge of Neo4J and Cassandra is an asset
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to take initiative and adapt quickly
• Customer- and result-oriented mindset
• Good level of English
• Banking sector knowledge is appreciated

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications in an Agile/DevOps environment
• Manage and support user stories from the team backlog
• Ensure compliance with performance, security, and availability standards
• Handle application management and lifecycle follow-up
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and development activities
• Write and execute automated tests (unit, integration, functional, non-functional)
• Resolve incidents and technical issues with Ops Engineers
• Manage IT risk and maintain technical documentation
• Continuously improve technical and functional expertise
