DevOps Engineer – Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to support the development, maintenance, and scalability of our cloud monitoring platform. You will work closely with developers and operations teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and security of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining new features and enhancements for the monitoring platform.
• Work with DevOps and cloud engineers to manage configurations and integrations across monitoring solutions (e.g., Elastic Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
• Implement and maintain best practices for security, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Proactively identify areas of improvement to enhance platform scalability and stability.
• Provide onboarding support, troubleshooting, and configuration guidance to platform users.
• Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies and modern monitoring/SRE practices.
• Continuously improve documentation and contribute to creating training materials for platform users.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in platform engineering, cloud operations, DevOps, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of monitoring tools, methodologies, and configuration management.
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud-native concepts.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong communication skills.

Bonus Points

• Experience with OpenTelemetry implementations.
• Experience working on monitoring/observability platforms.
• Programming knowledge in Node.js, Python, or similar languages.
