Join a project focused on developing open-source tools for the Godot engine as a 3D Animator specializing in Blender rigging. You will be responsible for rigging a provided 3D human model, ensuring it supports standardized movement patterns and proper bone structures for twisting arms, elbows, and feet. The rig must be suitable for both side-view (side scroller) and top-down isometric perspectives, as the animations will be converted to 2D. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a creative indie team, with the potential for future projects involving animal and fantasy creature rigging. All work can be completed remotely, and credit will be given for contributions included in the final release.

Responsibilities
- Rig 3D human models in Blender with standardized movement patterns
- Ensure bone structures support twisting arms, elbows, and feet
- Adapt rigs for both side-view and top-down isometric perspectives
- Collaborate with the team to meet open-source project requirements
- Prepare rigs suitable for conversion from 3D to 2D animation
- Potentially rig additional models, including animals and fantasy creatures, in future phases
- Deliver high-quality, well-documented rigging assets
- Advanced proficiency in Blender, with a focus on character rigging
- Strong understanding of bone structures and deformation for animation
- Experience rigging for both game and 2D/3D animation pipelines
- Ability to create rigs adaptable to multiple perspectives (side scroller, isometric)
- Familiarity with open-source workflows and collaborative indie projects
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote setting
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant rigging work, especially for games or animation
- Availability for potential follow-up projects
