We are supporting a global construction consultancy that delivers some of the largest and most complex hyperscale data centres in Europe. They are hiring experienced Senior Project Managers to lead major programmes in Copenhagen, Gävle, Farciennes, Helsinki and Dublin. You will join highly experienced, culturally diverse project teams and take real ownership for delivery, with strong support for your long term career development.
The opportunity
In this role you will:
- Act as the client facing Senior Project Manager on large new build and expansion data centre projects, providing visible leadership on site and ensuring safe working practices at all times
- Lead project start up activities, including onboarding the general contractor and key vendors, defining roles and responsibilities, and setting project cadence, governance and reporting structures
- Own the full project lifecycle across design coordination, construction, commissioning, IST and handover, ensuring quality, schedule and cost are controlled throughout
- Manage the interface between the client, consultants, GC and specialist roles such as Commissioning, Integration, OFCI and Energy Marshal, keeping delivery aligned and avoiding unnecessary escalation
- Implement and improve project procedures and controls covering risk, scope, quality, procurement, schedule, cost and change, with a strong focus on proactive risk mitigation
- Coordinate snagging, quality inspections and defect close out, ensuring QA/QC plans are in place, monitored and continuously improved
- Lead and attend key meetings, validate contractor schedules, challenge assumptions where needed and agree mitigation plans for any slippage or constraints
- Produce clear weekly and monthly reports, run risk reviews and communicate status, risks and issues concisely to senior internal and client stakeholders
What you bring
We would like to hear from you if you:
- Have circa 15 years experience in construction or project management, with a strong track record on high value, complex projects
- Have delivered multiple large data centre or mission critical projects as the primary Project Manager, or can demonstrate highly relevant experience on similar technically complex facilities
- Hold a degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
Bring solid experience across:
- Client side project leadership
- Risk management and risk registers
- QA/QC and onsite quality processes
- Safety, permits and site controls
- Change management and commercial awareness
- Are an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with client stakeholders, consultants and contractors and handle challenging conversations professionally
- Are willing to be based full time onsite in one of Copenhagen, Gävle, Farciennes, Helsinki or Dublin, with occasional travel as required
Experience on hyperscale data centres is a strong advantage. Candidates from other mission critical environments such as semiconductor, pharmaceutical or advanced manufacturing will also be considered where the scale and complexity are comparable.

For the right candidates, the client offers:
- Full relocation support for you and, where applicable, your family
- Visa sponsorship, subject to local regulations and eligibility
- Support to access local expat tax schemes where applicable and where you meet the relevant criteria in country
What is on offer
You will benefit from:
- Working on flagship hyperscale data centre projects for a global technology client
- Competitive base salary, performance bonus and comprehensive benefits package
- Clear progression opportunities within a growing international business
- Structured support for professional development and accreditation
