Job Description

Job Role : Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Abu Dhabi

The Azure Cloud Engineer is responsible for proactively maintaining and managing Client' cloud environment by developing and refining solutions and services for Cloud Landing zones, focusing on Microsoft Azure landing zones, but also working with other cloud providers and their landing zone services, tools, and solutions.

Experience: Proven experience (typically 7+ years) as an Azure Cloud Engineer or in a similar role with a focus on Azure Landing Zones and cloud infrastructure management.

Mandatory Hands-on Experience

Primary Skills: Azure Landing Zone, IaC using Terraform, Azure Application Migration,

Secondary Skill: Data Migration

Key Responsibilities

  • Azure Landing Zone Implementation: Design and implement Azure Landing Zones that provide a secure, scalable, and compliant foundation for Azure workloads. Utilize best practices to establish resource organization, management, and governance.
  • Cloud Architecture Design: Develop and maintain Azure architecture blueprints, including network design, identity and access management, and resource organization. Ensure architecture aligns with company standards and industry best practices.
  • Infrastructure Deployment: Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Terraform, or Bicep. Automate deployment processes and manage configurations to ensure consistency and repeatability.
  • Monitoring and Optimization: Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to track performance and security of Azure environments. Continuously optimize resource utilization and costs while maintaining high availability and performance.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure that Azure environments adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement and manage security controls, policies, and procedures to protect data and applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support application deployment, troubleshooting, and performance tuning. Provide expertise and guidance on cloud technologies and best practices.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, configurations, and processes. Provide training and support to team members on Azure cloud practices and tools.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
