Senior Network Engineer | £50,000 - £60,000 | 90% Remote (London) | MSP


Are you a seasoned network professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and loves solving complex technical challenges? Our client is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting and evolving our customers' network environments.


In this position, you’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, designing, and improving network infrastructure. You’ll work closely with a highly skilled technical team, take ownership of critical issues, and contribute to delivering a first-class service experience.


What You’ll Do


Customer & Incident Management

  • Take full ownership of technical issues, ensuring they’re triaged, resolved, and communicated effectively.
  • Deliver timely, high-quality support that meets or exceeds service expectations.
  • Champion best practices in incident/ticket handling and customer communication.

Network Engineering & Architecture

  • Serve as a subject matter expert across one or more networking domains.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of multi-vendor environments (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Juniper).
  • Analyse, troubleshoot, and optimise network infrastructure across physical, virtual, and cloud-connected environments.
  • Lead the design and implementation of network solutions for project and improvement initiatives.

Systems, Tooling & Automation

  • Work confidently across multiple operating systems relevant to network operations.
  • Manage software and firmware updates across network devices.
  • Develop scripts or processes that automate tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Pursue relevant professional certifications as part of continuous development.

Security & Resilience

  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities, ensuring proactive protection across customer environments.
  • Work with tools and processes that harden infrastructure and strengthen security posture.

Governance, Change & Documentation

  • Contribute to structured change control processes and implement changes safely.
  • Maintain accurate asset and support documentation.
  • Support ongoing improvement of operational processes, standards, and systems.
