A Sydney-based IT services provider is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced network and security solutions for enterprise and telecommunications clients. This hybrid role combines technical leadership with hands-on delivery, offering the opportunity to work across complex projects and mentor engineering staff.

• $110K – $130K base + superannuation
• Hybrid role: 4 days in the Sydney office, 1 day from home
• Design and deploy enterprise-scale network and security solutions
• Act as technical lead on multiple concurrent projects
• Develop solution design documentation, scopes of work, and implementation standards

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will lead the design, deployment, and management of security and networking solutions. Key responsibilities include gathering requirements, assessing client environments, preparing design documentation, and overseeing solution implementation. You will work directly with stakeholders to ensure solutions meet performance and security requirements, resolve technical issues, and optimise environments. The role also involves knowledge sharing, supporting pre-sales engagements, and contributing to governance and best practices.

WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…..

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline (Master’s desirable)

• 8+ years’ experience in IT infrastructure, with 3+ years in network architecture or lead engineering roles

• Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and firewall technologies

• In-depth knowledge of server infrastructure

• Experience with hybrid or cloud-native infrastructure

• Strong documentation skills

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)

• Fortinet Certified Professional

• Microsoft Certified

• AWS Certified

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP)

• Hands-on experience with cybersecurity frameworks

• Familiarity with enterprise risk management frameworks
