VASS BeNeLux, in partnership with European Investment Bank (EIB) is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work from Luxembourg. (EU nationality required)

The role:

Requirements Gathering and Documentation

• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit and document detailed requirements for all work packages.
• Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories, including acceptance criteria, ensuring alignment with Agile principles.
• Document workflows and process improvements to facilitate automation and replace manual processes, aligning with the project vision of efficiency and risk mitigation.

Stakeholder Management and Collaboration

• Act as a primary liaison between business teams and IT development teams to ensure shared understanding and prioritization of deliverables.
• Collaborate closely with the Product Owner, ensuring alignment of priorities across the project backlog and timely updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain consistent communication with other impacted teams (e.g., Integration, DWH) to identify and address cross-functional dependencies.

Process and Standards Compliance

• Ensure and validate that all requirements and deliverables comply with technology standards, including frameworks.
• Support adherence to the EIB’s established processes and frameworks, providing expertise on the SPVAL system’s capabilities and regulatory implications.

Agile Practices and Backlog Management

• Manage and refine the project backlog by prioritizing work packages based on business needs and technical feasibility.
• Organize requirements into manageable user stories and ensure that these stories are complete, clear, and ready for development.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, ensuring smooth progression of iterative development cycles.

Testing and Validation

• Design and validate test cases to ensure coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements.
• Conduct end-to-end scenarios for complex workflows (e.g. data imports, reconciliation processes).
• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring stakeholders sign off on deliverables before production deployment.

Reporting and Documentation

• Provide periodic status updates on backlog progression, resource allocation, and project risks to stakeholders and governance bodies.
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, analysis outcomes, and project decisions for future reference and auditing purposes.
• Contribute to regular reporting deliverables, such as release planning and production support allocations.

You have:

• Prior experience in International / European organisations
• Experience in business analysis for IT projects in large financial institutions, Experience in e-banking lending applications
• System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
• Requirements gathering and modelling (UML)
• Software Testing
• Drafting documents (business requirements, test cases) in English
• SQL and Data quality related activities,
• Writing user manuals,
• Application support activities.

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MSProject), Jira, Sharepoint,
• English writing skills (C1 European Level), French is recommended (B2 European Level).
