About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Platform Operations Engineer to join their Managed Services team. This is a hands-on technical role requiring deep expertise across cloud platforms, infrastructure operations, and enterprise tooling. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting complex environments for our clients, ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure and cloud solutions across Azure, AWS, and Oracle OCI.
• Manage and optimize backup solutions including Avamar, Veeam, Azure Backup, ShadowProtect, and NetApp.
• Configure and maintain firewalls (Palo Alto, Azure Firewall, Checkpoint, Sophos) and ensure network security compliance.
• Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, Dell HCI, and Azure Stack.
• Implement and govern ITIL processes for Change, Incident, Problem, Service & Event Management.
• Utilize enterprise tooling including ConnectWise, Kaseya, JIRA, Confluence, and ScienceLogic for service delivery.
• Manage Microsoft 365, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, and Exchange environments.
• Perform Windows & Linux server administration and storage management (Azure Storage, NetApp, AWS S3).
• Strengthen security posture using Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, and TrendMicro.
• Support VDI environments including Citrix, Windows Terminal Services, and Azure Virtual Desktop.

Required Experience & Skills

• 10+ years of experience across cloud, infrastructure, and operations in enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot complex IT systems.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
• Backup solutions: Avamar, Veeam, Azure Backup, ShadowProtect, NetApp
• Cloud platforms: Azure, AWS, Oracle OCI
• Firewalls: Palo Alto, Azure Firewall, Checkpoint, Sophos
• Virtualisation: VMware ESXi/vCenter, Hyper-V, Dell HCI, Azure Stack
• ITIL processes: Change, Incident, Problem, Service & Event Management
• Tooling: ConnectWise, Kaseya, JIRA, Confluence, ScienceLogic
• Microsoft 365, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, RAS, Exchange
