Project Manager

Amesan Consulting is looking for a Project Manager to join our client’s PMO team at their Helsinki office.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Project Manager who will lead cross-functional teams, ensure smooth project execution, and help drive impactful results in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a multifunctional project team with diverse skill sets.
• Ensure project targets (time, cost, quality) are met and maintain strong execution discipline.
• Facilitate clear and timely communication between internal and external stakeholders.
• Measure project and supplier performance, taking timely corrective actions when needed.
• Monitor progress, detect bottlenecks, and implement impactful solutions to maintain efficiency.
• Ensure systematic KPI follow-up and drive the implementation of identified actions.
• Lead by example to create a positive, motivated working environment.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop effective mitigation strategies.
• Ensure adherence to project management standards, policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with relevant functions to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Required Experience

• 4–7 years of project management experience, preferably within R&D or IT environments.
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and SAFe.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Vendor management experience (oversight of vendors and contractors).
• Experience working with remote or distributed teams.

Requirements

• Ability to work onsite at the Helsinki office at least three days per week.
• Ability to obtain a basic security clearance from Finnish authorities.
