We are seeking software engineers to join our team at Siemens working on Human-Machine Interface (HMI) panels. This is an exciting opportunity to work with embedded Linux systems and contribute to the security and resilience of industrial control systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Software design, implementation, documentation, unit tests, module tests, debugging in a multiline release cycle
• Enhance and implement security features for embedded systems
• Contribution to the development of embedded systems security concepts such as secure boot, integrity and encryption technologies
• Support testers in development and execution of automated tests suites using Python
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in embedded Linux environments
• Stay current with emerging security standards and best practices in embedded systems
  
  

Your Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded Linux systems
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming language
• Familiarity with bash scripting and system-level programming
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Linux kernel development is a plus
• Experience with Python for test automation is a plus
• Experience in industrial automation domain (HMI Panels and TIA Portal, or other engineering systems) is a plus
• Familiarity with EU cybersecurity regulations and standards is a plus
