Key Responsibilities

Full scope of responsibilities will be shared during the interview process.

• Lead Projects:
  
  

Manage the full lifecycle of integrated mining system projects, from planning and design to delivery and improvement.

• Drive Innovation:
  
  

Integrate Weir’s core technologies such as slurry transport, wear-resistant materials, hydraulic solutions, into next-generation mining applications.

• Collaborate cross functional:
  
  

Guide cross-functional teams and coordinate with external experts and contractors to achieve project goals. Facilitating stakeholder engagement and promoting collaboration in a technical international environment.

• Champion Safety & Sustainability:
  
  

Foster a safety-first culture and promote environmental stewardship in every aspect of your work. Ensuring adherence to safety requirements and regulations. Setting a strong example for the team and integrate safety in all improvement activities.

• Ensure Excellence:
  
  

Oversee prototyping, testing, and deployment, monitor performance metrics, and implement continuous improvement strategies.

• Compliance & Accreditation
  
  

Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Identify and mitigate technical, operational, and environmental risks. Promote safety and sustainability throughout the project lifecycle.

• Travel
  
  

Willingness to travel internationally as needed to mine sites, customers and other Weir locations.

Job Knowledge/Education And Qualifications

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable.
• PMP, Prince II or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technical project management, using project management tooling and other relevant tools for integrated solutions design and simulations..
• Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary design & development teams for high capital-intensive, integrated system solutions.
• Proven experience in external contract management.
• Highly preferred; Understanding of mining systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
