Location: Remote - Office work in Riga only when required by the EU Institution

Job Type: B2B freelance (Contract)

Daily Rate: €350 per day gross

We are actively looking for a Java Developer to work on a long term remote based B2B freelance role that requires office work in Riga only when required by the EU Institution.

This is a very long term freelance role working for an European Institution.

This role will pay a maximum day rate of €350 before tax.

We need candidates with the following experience:

• In depth knowledge of Java
• Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications.
• Good knowledge of Spring
• Good knowledge of automating deployment, scaling, testing and management of containerised applications (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience in Event Driven Architectures (EDA), based on Kafka.
• Experience in API-driven development, and contract-first development, leveraging standards and tools such as OpenAPI.

Tasks include:

• Development, maintenance, and operation of software applications.
• Development and integration of technological components.
• Development and integration of custom-build solutions within public cloud-based environments.
• Development of fully cloud native solutions.
• Development of infrastructure and cloud automation scripts.
• Development of application deployment and configuration code.
• Design, implementation, and maintenance of multi-tier applications.
