Network Engineer

Our client who operates across the Public Sector is looking for a number of Network Engineers with Juniper background.

As a network engineer, you will :

• Build and manage the Datacenter LAN, together with your colleagues.
• Your job is to convert network designs into a working network configuration - you will work on low level designs.
• You will be the second and third line support, the expert everyone turns to when they have questions.
• You help them with pleasure and drive.
• Your problem-solving skills come in handy when working with the development and project teams, providing technical guidance.
• Together, you ensure that the design and configuration is always up-to-date and secure.
• This also means that you are vigilant when it comes to performance and availability of the IT infrastructure.
• You analyse potential problems and suggest improvements and solutions. If necessary, you immerse yourself completely in the complex architecture and security.

Required experience:

What are we looking for?

- You have several years of experience in complex (Enterprise) LAN/WAN network environments;

- You have hands-on experience with:

o Juniper Apstra

o Juniper EVPN-VXLAN

o Juniper QFX/PTX series

Nice to have :

-JNCIP

-JNCIE

- Experience and/or knowledge with Automation tools such as Ansible or Gitlab and scripting in Perl, Python, Shell Scripting

-Security mindset.

• All candidates must hold a Dutch citizenship and speak Dutch at a professional level.
