Planet Technology has partnered with a State College, PA firm to locate a Network Adminstrator with experience in Telecom for a contract-to-hire role.


Please note, this is 100% onsite.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner closely with senior network leadership and cross-functional IT teams to design, implement, and maintain a reliable, secure internal network environment.
  • Support network architecture and design initiatives, contributing to planning, configuration, deployment, and ongoing optimization of internal networking solutions.
  • Evaluate existing network infrastructure, identify performance or reliability gaps, and recommend upgrades, enhancements, and strategic technology investments.
  • Monitor network performance, capacity, and security, proactively identifying risks, vulnerabilities, and inefficiencies and driving timely remediation.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain network security controls, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, encryption technologies, and access controls, ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
  • Administer and support network resources in cloud and hybrid environments, with a focus on secure connectivity, performance optimization, and operational resilience.
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain network monitoring, alerting, and automation processes to improve visibility, responsiveness, and system stability.
  • Create and maintain accurate technical and operational documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, procedures, and standards.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies and best practices, applying continuous improvements to configuration, monitoring, and maintenance processes.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address critical network issues and outages, collaborating with senior administrators during escalations and high-priority incidents.
