Lead Developer

• Freelance - 6 months contract
• Location remote (Anywhere in Australia)
• Immediate start

We are seeking a talented Freelance Lead Developer to join a small, dynamic team for an initial 6-month contract, with flexible working hours, and can be done remotely from anywhere in Australia. As the Lead Developer, you will play a key role in overseeing all backend and cloud infrastructure development.

ROLE

• Lead backend development efforts, focusing on .NET technologies.
• Take ownership of setting up and maintaining AWS environments.
• Work closely with a React Developer and Lead UX/UI Designer to create and maintain seamless, scalable solutions.
• Develop and manage REST and SOAP APIs.
• Ensure smooth integration between front-end and back-end components.
• Communicate effectively across the team to ensure alignment and progress.
• Participate in weekly team meetings to report on project milestones and discuss challenges.

YOU

• Proven commercial experience in .NET development, with a strong focus on backend solutions.
• Solid expertise in AWS infrastructure (setting up, maintaining, and optimising environments).
• Hands-on experience with both REST and SOAP APIs.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a small, cross-functional team.
• Background in product development and a passion for building user-centric solutions.
