DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology centre in Central and Eastern Europe. As a Senior Backend Engineer you will be specifically responsible for developing backend services, supporting various applications and business requests as part of a global team.


Responsibilities

  • Extensive experience in Java Backend development
  • Participate in full development cycle
  • Work with QAs and BAs on functional and non-functional requirements
  • Work with other development teams that use our framework and container APIs
  • Work with UX team on defining new interfaces



Skills

  • Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency in Java
  • Handling common concurrency issues: race conditions, deadlocks, thread-safety.
  • Experience with asynchronous tasks and parallel streams is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Fork/Join framework and parallel computing is a plus.
  • Ability to profile and debug multithreaded applications.
  • Strong experience with Tomcat (deployment, configuration, optimization).
  • Hands-on experience with Microservices architecture (REST APIs, service communication, scalability).
  • Knowledge of Spring / Spring Boot framework for backend services.
  • Experience with API design and integration in distributed environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes) is a plus.
