The Cloud & Network Security (CNS) is part of Security Business Group (SBG) and its mission is to help people connect securely with confidence on any device, to any application, anywhere, anytime. The Cloud Networking & Data Plane team, which is part of this business unit, focuses on delivering fast user space virtualized networking solutions to SBG as well as other Business Units.

IF YOU ARE

  • Experienced for 4+ years with delivering cloud software and high-performance software written in C/C++
  • Proficient with VPP
  • Skilled in VPP contribution
  • Well-versed in L2-L7 packet processing and data plane protocols
  • Knowledgeable in Linux-based operating systems, virtual machines, cloud-based services, and networking protocols
  • Capable of maintaining daily communication with English-speaking software engineers on the client side
  • Skilled in Python, Go as a plus
  • Confident in containerization as an advantage
  • Experienced in CPU hardware architecture Arm64, x86_64 as a bonus
  • Aware of Kubernetes, AWS well as virtualization technologies is desired as an advantage


AND YOU WANT TO

  • Assist in the design and development of Cloud Native Networking solutions
  • Develop industry-leading performance modular software data plane (L2 – L7) utilizing FD.io/VPP packet process engine
  • Interact with the engineering team to develop new features and help with the integration in various virtualized, containerized, and bare metal environments
  • Elevate the quality of coding, unit testing, and maintaining features
  • Design and implement private cloud, public cloud, and multicloud-related solutions
