About Our Client

We are working on an opportunity with a prominent investment holding company managing a diverse portfolio across multiple sectors. They are seeking a seasoned professional to join as Head of Finance, a key leadership role reporting directly to the CEO and Board of Directors. This position will oversee financial strategy, corporate finance, and performance management across a portfolio of 4–5 subsidiaries with total assets under management in the multiple billions (USD).

What the job involves

  • Develop and execute financial strategies to maximise shareholder value and guide long-term corporate planning
  • Oversee capital structure management, including debt and equity financing, and build relationships with financial institutions at both holding and subsidiary levels
  • Provide financial oversight for portfolio companies, leading valuation processes and performance reporting for stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain robust financial operations, including audits, compliance with international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and regulatory requirements
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks while ensuring internal controls are effective and compliant with tax laws and corporate regulations

Who we are looking for

  • Proven senior financial management experience, ideally within investment holding companies, conglomerates, private equity, or family offices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA or equivalent professional certification required. Background in audit from leading firms such as the Big Four is desirable
  • Experience working within the UAE is essential
  • Expertise in financial strategy, corporate finance, and performance management, with a strong track record in managing relationships with banks and overseeing treasury operations
  • Strong knowledge of international accounting standards, financial reporting, and compliance requirements
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills to effectively partner with C-suite executives and board members
