Head of Grid Connection – Renewable Energy
Location: Berlin (Hybrid)

A leading renewable energy developer is looking for a Head of Grid Connection to manage all grid-related activities across wind, solar, and battery storage projects.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the grid connection team.
- Create cost-effective grid connection solutions for onshore wind, PV, and BESS.
- Plan and design substations, transformer stations, and cable networks.
- Prepare technical specs and tender documents.
- Manage applications and approvals with DSOs/TSOs.
- Carry out grid calculations and evaluate connection concepts.
- Oversee substation projects, commissioning, and certification.
- Coordinate with grid operators, service providers, and internal teams.
- Report regularly to technical leadership.
Your Profile
- Degree in electrical engineering or similar, or strong relevant experience.
- Experience leading technical teams.
- Solid understanding of grid connection planning and HV systems.
- Strong network within DSOs/TSOs.
- Experience with grid calculation software (e.g., PowerFactory, PSS SINCAL).
