UI Developer/Designer
Hybrid – East Syracuse, NY
$49–$52 per hour
3–6 month contract

They’re hiring a UI Developer/Designer to translate requirements into intuitive, accessible user interfaces and support front-end implementation across multiple products. This hybrid role blends UX, UI, and front-end execution, with a strong emphasis on ADA-compliant digital content.
What you’ll do
- Turn high-level requirements into clean, user-friendly UI designs.
- Collaborate with product and engineering on visual direction, product flows, and UX improvements.
- Deliver the full design lifecycle: concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets.
- Create user flows, storyboards, process diagrams, and site maps.
- Present designs and deliverables to stakeholders and project teams.
- Conduct user research and incorporate feedback into iterations.
- Establish design standards, guidelines, and reusable components.
- Ensure ADA-compliant PDFs: structured headings, alt text, tagged tables, proper tab order, accessible fonts, colour contrast, and metadata.
- Apply HTML, CSS, and JavaScript knowledge to support front-end handover and execution.
What you’ll need
- Bachelor’s/Master’s in HCI, Interaction Design, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in software/UI development or design.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Intermediate HTML; working knowledge of CSS and JavaScript.
- Ability to design clear, accessible, user-centered digital experiences.
- Strong communication and stakeholder presentation skills.
