About The Role

KITSCH is seeking a talented and dynamic Web & UI/UX Designer to join our creative team. This pivotal role involves shaping the visual and user experience of our website and digital platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating compelling, user-friendly designs that not only enhance aesthetic appeal but also improve functionality and engagement. Your work will include designing home page banners, updating category imagery, developing icons, and creating wireframes that facilitate seamless user journeys. With a mobile-first approach, you will ensure that all designs are optimized for responsiveness and usability across various devices. This role requires a self-motivated professional with a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of current UI/UX trends, and proficiency in design tools like Figma. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including the Senior Director of Technology, to deliver innovative design solutions that align with our brand and business objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in graphic design, with a focus on web design and UI/UX
• Portfolio demonstrating relevant work, particularly in website design, mobile-first design, and UI/UX projects
• Experience working in e-commerce environments
• Prior experience in the beauty industry is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Figma for designing layouts, wireframes, and collaborative projects
• Strong skills in Photoshop for image editing, retouching, and asset optimization
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus
• Understanding of A/B testing and user engagement metrics
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design a minimum of 10 visually appealing home page banners each month, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
• Update category imagery regularly to reflect current trends and maintain website freshness
• Develop imagery and iconography to support various sections of the website, maintaining consistency and brand integrity
• Lead the creation of wireframes and prototypes to illustrate user journeys and enhance UX/UI across digital platforms
• Generate and optimize assets for responsive design, emphasizing a mobile-first approach for seamless multi-device experiences
• Collaborate with the Senior Director of Technology to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables
• Conduct A/B testing for website designs to evaluate user engagement and inform future design improvements
• Manage multiple projects from concept to completion, especially during peak seasons like Black Friday and Cyber Monday
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends and incorporate best practices into design workflows
