Role Type: 6-month fixed Term, Entry Level
As an Assistant Producer, you will support the production team and the wider development team in the daily coordination of a project. Your primary responsibility is to keep information flowing clearly and ensure that the team is organised, informed, and able to focus on doing their best work.
This role focuses on providing hands-on organisational support, including scheduling meetings, maintaining documentation, collecting updates from developers, running playtests, preparing reports, and assisting with the smooth running of production processes. You will work closely with Associate and Senior Producers to help ensure the project remains on track and that progress is clearly visible across the studio.
This position is ideal for someone at the start of their production career who is highly organised, proactive, dependable, and passionate about game development.
Core Responsibilities
- Support Associate and Senior Producers with day-to-day coordination of the project team.
- Arrange, schedule, and prepare meetings, including taking clear, actionable notes and distributing them promptly.
- Assist in gathering regular updates from developers and ensuring information is accurately reflected in project tracking documents.
- Help maintain Jira boards or other project management tools by updating tasks, logging bugs, and ensuring information is current.
- Support in preparing and running internal playtests, including note-taking, player guidance, and collating feedback.
- Assist with tracking milestones, deliverables, and deadlines under the guidance of the production team.
- Help monitor sprint progress and maintain visibility of blockers, risks, and outstanding tasks.
- Coordinate with different disciplines (Design, Art, QA, Audio, Engineering) to ensure requests, dependencies, and information are properly recorded and passed on.
- Assist in organising external services (e.g., voice-over sessions, localisation, QA support) when required.
- Support the creation of reports, documentation, and summaries for internal use and senior management review.
- Help collate and prepare materials for marketing, demos, and store submissions when needed.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident communicator who can relay information clearly and professionally.
- An understanding of basic production methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall) and a willingness to learn more.
- Familiarity with Jira or other project tracking tools (or the ability to learn quickly).
- A foundational understanding of game development pipelines.
- A proactive, supportive attitude with a passion for helping teams succeed.
- A genuine interest in video games and game development.
- Previous experience in a production, QA, or coordination role within games or another creative industry.
- Experience with game engines (Unity or Unreal).
- Familiarity with other disciplines such as QA, Design, or Art.
- Experience assisting or running small meetings, presentations, or play sessions.
- Console platform knowledge (Switch, PlayStation, Xbox).
- Basic understanding of creative tools such as Photoshop, Premiere, or similar.
