The Chevron Business Support Center (BASSC) located in Buenos Aires (Puerto Madero), Argentina, is accepting online applications for the position Software Engineer - Pricing. Successful candidates will join the team which is part of a successful multifunction service center with a workforce of more than 1800 employees delivering business services and solutions across the globe.

As a Software Engineer in Chevron’s SPM Profitability & Insights product Line, you will leverage modern software engineering practices to simplify complex business processes and deliver high-impact solutions across the full software development lifecycle. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications that support pricing workflows and commercial decision-making. This role requires strong technical expertise in Azure, Python, application integration, and SAP architecture, along with a deep understanding of software development, DevOps, and cybersecurity best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement innovative software solutions that streamline pricing operations and drive business value.
  • Participate in all phases of the SDLC: planning, design, development, testing, deployment, support, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with POs to define product vision, technical direction, and delivery priorities.
  • Develop and maintain applications using modern frameworks and technologies including Angular, Python, .NET, and Azure services.
  • Integrate front-end components with back-end systems and SAP platforms to ensure seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Apply solid engineering principles including modularity, scalability, observability, and automated testing.
  • Maintain working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), Azure DevOps, and cloud monitoring tools.
  • Represent team architecture and priorities in cross-functional discussions with Data & Insights, and the rest of the pricing teams.
  • Support applications used by commercial managers, and pricing analysts.
  • Ensure compliance with Chevron’s software standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in software development, with 2 years of proven experience with a focus on pricing or commercial systems.
  • Proficiency in:
  • Proven experience with Front-End technologies such as: Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
  • 2 years of experience developing scalable and maintainable applications using Java, with hands-on experience integrating enterprise-level solutions.
  • Proven experience with Back-End technologies such as: Python, Node.js, .NET (ASP.NET, EF, LINQ)
  • Proficiency in Cloud & DevOps: Azure, Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes
  • Strong understanding of software architecture patterns (MVC, Microservices, SOLID, Event-Driven).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience with Integration & APIs: REST, SOAP, SAP integration
  • Knowledge with Database: SQL, Azure SQL, performance tuning
  • Experience with SAP-based pricing systems and commercial platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices and cloud-native development.
  • Certifications in Azure, Python, or software architecture are a plus.
