The (Senior) Data Loss Protection (DLP) Specialist will focus on the operational management of DLP tools and processes to ensure the organisation's sensitive information is protected. The role is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and responding to DLP alerts, ensuring compliance with data protection policies, and maintaining the day-to-day functionality of DLP systems. The DLP Specialist will work closely with other teams to ensure data security operations are efficient and effective.
The perfect candidate has extensive hands-on experience in managing and operating Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools, specifically Palo Alto Enterprise DLP and Microsoft Purview. They have a proven track record of working with Palo Alto Enterprise DLP to monitor, analyse, and respond to data loss incidents across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain Palo Alto Enterprise DLP and Microsoft Purview systems.
• Monitor and respond to DLP alerts, investigate incidents, and mitigate risks.
• Configure, fine-tune, and optimize DLP policies to reduce false positives and improve rule accuracy.
• Perform system checks, troubleshooting, and ensures tool reliability and performance.
• Classify and protect sensitive data using Microsoft Purview.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to enforce DLP measures across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments.
• Generate incident reports and provide actionable insights to stakeholders
Must haves:
• 3 years of experience in a similar role or related to DLP operations
• Prior DLP operations experience
• Experience with Palo Alto Enterprise DLP and Microsoft Purview or similar systems
• Experience with Microsoft Defender XDR
