Our challenge

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team who can develop, maintain, and support enterprise-level applications aligned with client requirements and industry best practices. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in building scalable, multi-user, n-tier, object-oriented, Web Services, and REST API applications using C#, .NET, and ASP.NET.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Location is CAD $90k – CAD $92k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role: Application Developer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy applications with a focus on reliability and performance.
• Maintain and enhance existing systems while adhering to standardized development methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, JAD, or RAD.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment in production environments.
• Utilize tools such as TFS and Azure DevOps for version control and project management.
• Write clear documentation and perform software testing and troubleshooting.
• Support application deployment and ongoing maintenance in complex, regulated environments, including government-like settings.

Requirements:

You are

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with:
• Multi-user, n-tier, object-oriented programming
• Web Services and JSON REST API development
• C#, .NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio
• Proven expertise in Microsoft SQL Server
• Hands-on experience in software lifecycle activities including coding, testing, documenting, and integrating.
• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in a controlled, production environment.
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, JAD, or RAD development processes.
• Proficiency with TFS and/or Azure DevOps Server.
• Experience working within a government or equivalent environment, managing complex projects.

Preferred, but not required::

• Web application development expertise using ASP.NET MVC and controls.
• Front-end development with JQuery and JavaScript.
• Knowledge of SSIS packages, jobs, and troubleshooting.
• Experience setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and deployment strategies.
• Familiarity with version control tools such as Tortoise GIT, Tortoise SVN, and MS Azure DevOps.
