Senior Project Manager

Location: Vilnius, Lithuania (Hybrid, must be able to work on-site)

Contract: 6-12 months

Rate: ~50 EUR/hour

You will join a major migration initiative moving from SAS Mainframe and SAS Windows to SAS Viya.

This role will lead the platform track, ensuring the new SAS Viya environment is fully prepared, stable, and scalable for onboarding users starting in 2026. The preparation phase will span 6–12 months, requiring strong coordination across platform, engineering, and business teams.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager with a structured delivery mindset and the ability to operate independently in a complex, technical environment. You will be responsible for driving platform readiness, overseeing timelines, and keeping multiple teams aligned toward a successful migration to SAS Viya.

Responsibilities

• Lead the SAS Viya platform readiness track, ensuring platform stability, scalability, and compliance with onboarding requirements
• Coordinate engineering and infrastructure teams working on Viya setup, configuration, and integration
• Manage project plans, dependencies, risks, and deliverables across several technical workstreams
• Ensure ongoing follow-up and drive momentum with all delivering areas
• Manage stakeholders across IT, engineering, architecture, and business functions
• Support planning for user onboarding starting in 2026
• Report progress, risks, and issues in a clear and structured manner

Requirements

• Senior-level project management experience in large-scale IT environments
• Strong delivery and follow-up capability with the confidence to push for progress
• Ability to understand technical contexts and communicate effectively with engineers and platform teams
• Experience with large integrated systems and migration programmes
• Understanding of platform scalability, architecture, and infrastructure considerations is an advantage
• Experience with analytics platforms or SAS technologies is beneficial (not mandatory)
