Project Manager

Salt is currently hiring a Junior Project Manager for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

Project Requires 2/3 days a week in Amsterdam, and you would need a KVK/ZZP.

We are seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in physical security systems, especially Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) such as Lenel OnGuard and Nedap AEOS. You will manage the full project lifecycle—from design and planning to execution and closure—while ensuring technical quality, compliance, and stakeholder alignment. Fluency in Dutch and English is required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver physical security projects on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop project plans (scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, budget) using tools like Jira Cloud.
• Coordinate internal teams and external vendors; manage stakeholder expectations and reporting.
• Oversee design, implementation, upgrades, and maintenance of EACS (Lenel OnGuard, Nedap AEOS) and related systems (VSS, intrusion detection, intercom).
• Provide subject-matter expertise and support knowledge sharing within the team.
• Conduct risk management, post-project reviews, and continuous improvement activities.
• Produce complete, auditable project documentation and ensure accurate handover of as-builts, licenses, warranties, and manuals.
• Ensure full compliance with corporate security standards and document any approved exceptions.
• Stay up to date on industry technologies and best practices.
• Travel globally as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of project management experience, including 5+ years delivering physical security system projects.
• Strong technical expertise in EACS (Lenel OnGuard, Nedap AEOS), including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and create compliant security design documents.
• Excellent communication in Dutch and English; strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and project tools (e.g., Jira Cloud).
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and handle confidential information professionally.
• Knowledge of corporate networks and IT naming conventions; cloud experience is a plus.
• Ability to work onsite multiple days per week (more during onboarding).

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification.
• Security certifications (PSP, CPP) or vendor certifications (Lenel, Nedap, Milestone).
• Experience integrating security systems (EACS, VMS, PSIM) or working as a field engineer.
• Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
