You'll be a Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience and join a team of enthusiastic individuals striving to innovate, design and build solutions that meet comprehensive requirements, within a global team in Anti Financial Crime division of the bank. You'll have thorough experience with the infrastructure, Architecture and Cloud as well as Agile practices and ensure that teams follow Agile practices and scrum framework values.
The Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring a team lives agile values and principles and follows the agreed processes and practices to allow the team to continually improve their performance. The Scrum Master leads from a position of influence, taking a servant-leadership stance i.e., demonstrates a leadership philosophy in which the main goal of the leader is to serve. Responsibilities include proactively removing blockers to team success, establishing an environment where the team can be effective, and protecting the team from outside interruptions and distractions. The Scrum Master also acts to ensure a good relationship between the team and Product Owner as well as others outside the team, facilitating meetings and Scrum events, and working with the Product Owner to make sure the upcoming book of work (backlog) is sufficiently defined and ready for the creation of the next product increment (sprint).
Responsibilities:
• Work as Facilitator for your teams, ensure desired outcomes are achieved in Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Product Backlog Refinements, Scrum of Scrums, Quarterly Planning sessions and daily stand-ups
• Train your teams on Agile practices to ensure they understand agile process and mindset
• Coach team members towards building a psychological safety environment
• Understand Product priorities, coach the team and Product Owner to take the right call based on priorities
• Visualize team flow, and guide team for further improvement; maintain transparency, ensure Jira reflects the current progress on the work
• Support the teams towards keeping sprint commitments, guide them to solve impediments, raise awareness in case of issues, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensures that the team lives by the values and practices of scrum
• Encourage and enable collaboration with Product owners and business stakeholders
• Lead and/or collaborate with multiple Agile teams on Agile methodologies with a servant leadership style
• Supporting the Product Owner in prioritizing and maintaining a healthy Product Backlog.
• Enforcing and tracking agreed Agile KPI’s, standards of practice, maintain Jira Hygiene for efficient reporting on team velocity and overall performance
Mandatory Skills Description:
• 5+ Years relevant Scrum Master experience in a software driven environment, ideally banking or a similarly regulated environment.
• Extensive IT industry experience with exposure to different phases of SDLC; experience on DevOps practices would be an added advantage
• Experience of working in an Agile environment, practicing Scrum
• Strong understanding of Agile Manifesto and Principles - as an Agile Scrum Master
• Develops others through training, coaching, and mentoring while also continually looking for ways to self-develop; articulates a credible vision of future direction and outcomes
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with team culture
• Very good English written and verbal skills
• Experience working in scaled agile frameworks (Safe, LeSS, Spotify)
