Node.js Backend Developer (Mid+ / Senior)


Rate: $25-35/hr (Based on the level of experience)

Contract: Indefinite

Location: Ukraine (Remote)


About the Role

We are looking for a Mid+ or Senior Node.js Backend Developer to build scalable backend services powering new OTT applications. This role involves working with Node.js, GraphQL, and MongoDB to deliver high-performance APIs and distributed systems.


Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Node.js backend services supporting OTT applications.
  • Implement and optimize GraphQL APIs.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and system design decisions.
  • Improve backend performance, reliability, and overall quality.
  • Collaborate with frontend, mobile, product, and design teams.


Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of production Node.js experience.
  • 1+ year with GraphQL (preferred).
  • Experience with MongoDB (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of: API design / Microservices / Distributed systems
  • Ability to write clean, scalable, maintainable backend code.
  • Motivated, proactive, and collaborative.
  • Strong communicator who enjoys ownership and solving complex problems.


Languages

Ukrainian: Fluent

English: Conversational (sufficient for daily communication)
