Roku Developer (All Levels)
Contract: 6 months (extension possible)
Rate: Rate: $15 - 35/hr (Decided by the level of experience)

About the Role
We are hiring Roku Developers across multiple seniority levels to help build a new streaming application as part of a multi-platform OTT ecosystem. You will work with BrightScript and SceneGraph to deliver high-performance features, intuitive UI experiences, and reliable streaming functionality for a large-scale OTT product used globally.
Core Responsibilities
Depending on your experience, responsibilities may include:
- Building and maintaining Roku UI components using BrightScript and SceneGraph.
- Implementing video playback workflows, data integrations, and platform-specific features.
- Working with API integrations, asynchronous tasks, and performance tuning.
- Debugging device-specific issues and optimizing navigation, UI rendering, and memory usage.
- (Senior-level) Leading architecture, app structure, deep linking flows, and performance strategies.
- (Senior-level) Integrating analytics, authentication, and Roku Advertising Framework (RAF).
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams across web, mobile, backend, design, QA, and product.
Required Experience
We are open to candidates with a range of experience. You may be a fit if you have:
For Jr+/Mid-Level
- 1+ year of hands-on Roku development.
- Experience with BrightScript and SceneGraph fundamentals.
- Understanding of Roku UI components, navigation, and basic video playback.
- Motivation to learn and grow in OTT development.
For Senior / Lead-Level
- 3+ years of professional Roku development.
- Deep expertise in BrightScript, SceneGraph, and Roku platform architecture.
- Experience owning end-to-end app development, including video playback, analytics, authentication, and deep linking.
- Knowledge of RAF (Roku Advertising Framework).
- Ability to optimize performance across multiple Roku device generations.
Nice-to-Have
- OTT experience on Apple TV, Tizen, Fire TV, or Google TV.
- Experience with cross-platform ecosystems (React Web, React Native Mobile, Node.js backend).d
Languages
- Ukrainian: Preferred
- English: Required for spoken communication
