DevOps Engineer – Sydney

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and container orchestration. You will work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless deployment, reliability, and scalability of applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation / Ansible).
- Configure and manage containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Monitor system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous delivery and DevOps best practices.
- Enhance automation to reduce manual tasks and improve efficiency.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–8 years of DevOps or related experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
- Solid understanding of CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with monitoring/logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, CloudWatch.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (Python, Bash, Shell).
- Knowledge of networking, security, and Linux fundamentals.
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
