Data Insights Analyst

Due to business growth, this well know retailer has created the position of Data Insights Analyst.

With both a physical and online presence, the company is looking for someone who can dissect behaviour & customer analytics and provide valuable insight to drive business performance.

A strong background in web / ecommerce analytics, data science, insights & performance are all needed here.

Skill set / experience needed –

• Prior background working as a Data Analyst / Insights Analyst
• Proven expertise analysing customer & behaviour analytics
• Creating a shopper profile
• A background in web analytics / basket analysis / performance metrics
• Experience in leveraging large data sets, whether it be Loyalty card data or Longitudinal Customer data
• Strong analytical capability and ability to break data down into a simple story through clear data visualisations
• Comfortable creating dashboards (operations metrics, labour optimisation, sales etc)
• Great technical experience with SQL including creating customer segments, joining tables, some ETL etc
• Experience working with Python
• Excellent communication / business partnering skills – working with Finance & Product teams
• You will be responsible for mining data and working closely with senior members of the team to extract insights
• Become a trusted partner in the delivery of insightful recommendations to meet stakeholder needs
• An analytical mind, a thirst for understanding customers and thrive in a collaborative environment
• A record of implementing continuous improvement techniques to create efficiencies in the way data extraction or analysis is conducted
• Ideally prior experience in or with Retail / Manufacturers in FMCG with prior experience working at or with IRI, Nielsen or Quantium being highly regarded
