Want to be part of the change from monolith to microservices? We are currently looking for a Senior Java backend Developer with lead ambitions and competences to join our team in Eindhoven.

At APS Group IT you will be part of a team with highly skilled members and collaborate with our colleagues in other regions. You participate in an innovative working environment on complex projects involving marketing technology for leading international corporate customers such as Albert Heijn, AkzoNobel, Maersk and Barclays.

What you will do

We are looking for someone who is eager to tackle complex architectural challenges and work on projects from start to finish. You are oriented to solve problems, innovative, reliable, punctual, proactive and communicative.

You have a wide interest in Finance and new technology. You encourage a culture of professionalism, customer service and technical excellence.

• Work closely with front-end and back-end developers, UX/UI designers, and DevOps engineers both within an Agile team, and through cross domain initiatives
• Coach peers, lead by example, and support a culture of clean, testable, and maintainable code
• You ensure the quality and correctness of what you deliver with a test-driven development approach

What you bring

You combine deep technical expertise with the confidence to guide others, challenge assumptions, and help shape the future of our Finance platform. You enjoy owning solutions end-to-end and collaborating closely with both engineering and business stakeholders.

• Strong experience with Java 21, Spring Boot, and microservices.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, REST, and PostgreSQL.
• Interest in finance-related workflows.
• Technical presence: you motivate others, think ahead, and help set direction.
• Senior level experience and strong ambition to grow into a Tech Lead role.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Dutch is a plus.
