The Opportunity
Reporting to the Group Advisor Metallurgy, this role will develop and coordinate metallurgical testing programs, analyse and report on their outcomes to support the development opportunities being explored by the Projects & Studies team. This role provides an opportunity to gain insight into complex lithium extraction strategies and be at the cutting edge of technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop metallurgical testing programs to support upcoming projects and to investigate new processing methodologies and technologies.
- Co-ordinate and supervise metallurgical testing programs
- Analyse and report on results from metallurgical testing
- Monthly reporting on the status of metallurgical testing
- Co-ordinating the collection and transportation of samples from site for testing at various laboratories
- Engage with vendors when testing specific equipment
About You
- Tertiary qualified in Extractive Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering
- At least 3 years experience in extractive metallurgy
- Previous experience in metallurgical testwork programs
- Knowledge of statutory safety requirements relevant to mining process
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An ability to collaborate and drive tasks and projects through to completion
- WA C Class Drivers Licence
