Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, configure, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN networks
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Monitor network performance and resolve connectivity, latency, and security issues
  • Implement network security policies, firewall rules, and access controls
  • Manage IP addressing, VLANs, routing protocols, and switching
  • Perform network upgrades, patches, and capacity planning
  • Document network diagrams, configurations, and procedures
  • Collaborate with system, security, and cloud teams
  • Provide L2/L3 network support and incident resolution
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and industry standards

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, NAT
  • Experience with routing & switching (OSPF, BGP, STP)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, or similar vendors
  • Firewall experience (FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA, etc.)
  • Network troubleshooting and performance analysis skills
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG)
