This is an internal Web Developer position with Next Match AI, joining our remote team based out of Sydney and collaborating with colleagues in Canada, Dubai, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

About the Role

We are looking for a Web Developer to help build and improve the NextMatch AI platform. You will work on candidate-facing flows, employer dashboards, analytics, and internal tools. The role involves a mix of front-end and back-end work, depending on your strengths, and close collaboration with product, design, and data teams.

You will help us ship features that are fast, reliable, and easy to use for both job seekers and employers.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications for candidates and employers
• Build reusable components and front-end architectures using modern frameworks
• Integrate with and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
• Work with back-end services and databases as needed
• Troubleshoot, debug, and improve performance, security, and reliability
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain coding standards and best practices
• Collaborate with product and design on feature specs, user flow,s and edge cases
• Write clear documentation for important features and technical decisions

Requirements

• 2 to 5 or more years of professional experience in web development
• Strong skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience with at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
• Experience with at least one back-end stack such as Node.js, Python, PHP, Java or .NET is a strong advantage
• Familiarity with databases, APIs, and version control using Git
• Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Comfortable working in a remote, product-focused startup environment
• Good written and spoken English and the ability to explain technical topics clearly
• Based in Australia and able to work Sydney time zone hours

Nice to Have

• Experience with TypeScript
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP or Azure and basic DevOps practices
• Experience building SaaS, marketplaces or HR tech products
• Portfolio or GitHub with examples of production-quality work
