BI Data Analyst (Intern)

About the job:

pawaTech is hiring a BI Data Analyst (Intern) to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team in Tallinn. This internship is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data analytics, customer support insights, and payment analysis within a fast-growing iGaming technology company.

What you’ll be doing:

• Supporting customer support and payment analysis by working with data from multiple sources;
• Assisting in building and maintaining dashboards and reports for daily and monthly performance monitoring;
• Helping validate data and investigate inconsistencies;
• Supporting the BI and Data Warehouse teams with basic data preparation and documentation;
• Assisting with ad-hoc data requests from stakeholders;
• Learning how business requirements are translated into data and reporting solutions;
• Contributing ideas for new metrics and improvements under guidance from senior team members.

What makes you a great candidate:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Business, Engineering, or a related field;
• Basic knowledge of SQL and an interest in learning advanced data querying;
• Familiarity with Python or another programming language is a plus;
• Interest in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g. Tableau, Redash, or similar);
• Basic understanding of databases and data concepts;
• Strong curiosity, analytical mindset, and willingness to learn;
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-moving environment;
• Interest in technology, data, and the iGaming industry.

Extra expertise we appreciate:

• University projects or coursework involving data analysis;
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, BigQuery);
• Any experience with dashboards, reporting tools, or data pipelines;
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar tools.
