Technical Support Engineer

We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer, based in Espoo and part of our Global Technical Support team, to provide high-quality technical assistance to Helvar customers and ensure the smooth and reliable operation of our systems. In this role, you will manage complex technical inquiries, deliver expert troubleshooting guidance, and implement effective solutions. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to continuously enhance support processes, tools, and documentation.


What you'll be doing as our Technical Support Engineer

  • Serves as an internal technical expert, providing in-depth knowledge and guidance on all Helvar systems and products.
  • Diagnoses and troubleshoots issues within Helvar products and systems.
  • Enhances technical expertise by staying up to date with new intelligent building solutions.
  • Through ongoing learning and development, become Is a technical authority across our entire product, software, and service portfolio.
  • Focuses on life cycle product services, including troubleshooting, repairs, end-user training, and system upgrades to maximize product longevity and customer satisfaction.
  • Works independently while remaining adaptable to the evolving needs and priorities of our customers.
  • Delivers outstanding customer service, ensuring a seamless experience for all Helvar customers.
  • Handles integrations, documenting solutions, and escalating customer concerns.
  • Proven ability to manage high customer expectations and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborates with other technical teams.


What experience we would like from you:

  • Knowledge of lighting controls systems, particularly experience in commissioning complete lighting control systems like DALI or KNX (preferably DALI).
  • Good knowledge level of Helvar products and systems. Understanding of electrical installations or trained electrician. Competent with DALI & DALI-2 systems and products.
  • Competent with wireless lighting controls (ActiveAhead).
  • Familiarity with automation, integration, networks, and/or AV equipment.
  • Good IT networking knowledge, with the ability to support system integration.
  • Good documentation skills.
