A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking an Operational Innovation Manager to play a pivotal role in transforming ideas into impactful solutions. You will establish a disciplined innovation intake funnel, utilizing campaigns and on-the-floor discovery to define selection criteria aligned with key performance indicators. Engage in designing and running factory-focused hackathons to validate hypotheses quickly and cost-effectively. You will lead pilot execution, ensuring robust measurement and data integrity, while coordinating with vendors and IT/OT (Information/Operational Technology) interfaces. Your work will not only document outcomes but also contribute to scaling successful innovations across multiple factories, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Establishment of an innovation intake funnel using campaigns and discovery to define selection criteria tied to TR (Transformer) KPIs
  • Lead factory-focused hackathons to validate hypotheses at low cost and high speed
  • Coordinate pilot teams with clear roles and timelines, ensuring data integrity and robust measurement
  • Build a Scale Readiness Framework to facilitate the replication of successful innovations across factories
  • Co-develop the E2E (End-to-End) TR Operational Innovation Management process and maintain a transparent innovation portfolio
  • Develop local innovation champions and create training paths to foster an innovation mindset within the organization


What You Bring

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, process engineering, innovation management, data science or equivalent. Masters is a plus
  • Many years of experience in operations, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement
  • Proven track record in pilot design, validation, and scaling across multiple sites
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with OT/IT interfaces to ensure data integrity
  • Experience in program and portfolio management, creating order and repeatable processes
  • Possession of change enablement skills, including training and stakeholder management
  • Familiarity with innovation platforms and exposure to EHS/Quality management systems is a plus


Travel, as needed (up to ~15%).

This job may be based in various locations within the US.  Siemens Energy offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.  Details regarding our benefits can be found here: https://benefitsatenergy.com/thinking-of-joining.html.  The base salary range for this position is $102,000-172,000 and the annual incentive target is 10-15% of base salary.  Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, certifications, and other business needs. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual’s qualifications.
