Senior Network Engineer (Aruba) – Daily Rate Contract – On-Site Dublin

A long-established technology services provider delivering enterprise network and managed service solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer for an on-site contract role in Dublin. The organisation is recognised for its very solid engineering team, low attrition, and a professional, well-structured working environment. Many engineers have worked with the company for a number of years, supported by strong technical leadership and clear delivery standards.

This role sits within a managed services and customer engineering function and is focused on the design, build, implementation, and assurance of enterprise network solutions. The successful contractor will act as a senior technical authority, working directly with customer stakeholders while collaborating with internal delivery, operations, and pre-sales teams.

Responsibilities include producing and owning low-level network designs, building and staging solutions, and leading deployments across headquarters, data centre, and distributed branch environments. You will support upgrades, migrations, and go-live activities, follow formal change management processes, and provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for complex network incidents. The role also involves technical review of proposed solutions, ensuring designs are operationally sound and aligned with enterprise standards, as well as vendor engagement on hardware and software issues.

Technical Requirements:

• Strong enterprise networking background with expert knowledge of LAN/WAN architectures, routing and switching, and network forwarding protocols.
• Aruba expertise is essential, including Aruba Wireless and ClearPass.
• Proven experience delivering customer solutions in complex environments and operating as a senior escalation point.

Highly Desirable:

• Experience with Aruba Central, AirWave, or IMC, Cisco technologies (ideally CCNP level), and firewall platforms such as Palo Alto or Cisco ASA. Aruba or equivalent vendor certifications are advantageous.
