c. Infrastructure:

i. Two physical hosts running Hyper-V VMs

ii. Networking devices: Fortinet Firewall, Cisco Core switches, Aruba edge switches, Cisco Embedded Wireless Controller (EWC) and Access Points (APs)

iii. Azure IaaS – site2site with Fortinet Firewall

2. What We’re Looking For

a. Networking Project Expertise: Experience in deploying and managing networking-related projects

b. Independent Work & Reporting: Ability to operate autonomously, troubleshoot, and provide timely project updates or reports to stakeholders and team so that everyone is on the same page.

3. Job Scope:

a. Provide network support and services that enhance the overall IT operations—covering software, servers, security, and end-user computing. This includes managing core network services (RADIUS, DNS, DHCP) to ensure robust authentication, address allocation, and domain name resolution for a streamlined and secure IT environment.

4. Daily Duties

a. Server Room & Physical Devices

i. Ensure the server room is maintained under optimal environmental conditions and all physical networking devices are functioning correctly.

b. Network Services Management

i. Oversee and maintain essential network services, including RADIUS for secure authentication, DNS for domain name resolution, and DHCP for IP address allocation. Ensure these services are updated, properly configured, and integrated with other network systems.

c. Wireless Connectivity, Routing & Switching

i. Monitor and manage wireless networks, as well as back-end routing and switching devices, to guarantee reliable connectivity.

d. Perimeter Defense (Firewall)

i. Perform first-level monitoring of firewall systems, promptly addressing any unusual activity or potential threats.

e. Network Connectivity

i. Maintain Kline Global network, internet, and domestic network connections, proactively identifying and resolving abnormalities in network traffic.

f. Core BCP System

i. Ensure operational readiness of the Core BCP system to support both on-site and remote work scenarios (hybrid environments).

g. Security & Patching

i. Regularly update and patch network devices to protect against zero-day threats and maintain enterprise-level security.

ii. Addressing networking vulnerability highlighted by security team.

5. Ad hoc duties:

a. Vendor Management

i. Oversee vendor relationships and renewals for networking devices and services, ensuring timely maintenance and support contracts.

b. Incident Response & Escalation

i. Respond promptly to system outages, escalate if necessary, and follow up with solutions and recommendations within defined SLAs.

c. Documentation & Processes

i. Assist in creating and updating IT processes and procedures to maintain clarity and consistency across the environment.

6. Project Work

a. Integration Support

i. Facilitate projects involving network-related components, ensuring they align smoothly with existing infrastructure and services.

b. Technical Expertise

i. Provide in-depth knowledge in network design, installation, maintenance, and support across multiple operating systems and technologies. Effectively articulate work packages, activity checklists, and requirements for network implementations.]
