Our client is a leading player in their industry, looking for a talented Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Consultant to join their team and help shape and uplift DevSecOps practices across the organisation.
As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the DevSecOps strategy. You will work closely with delivery teams, platform teams and broader business stakeholders across multiple initiatives, providing technical leadership and consultative guidance to embed security seamlessly throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Work across multiple teams, platforms and initiatives to champion DevSecOps practices and act as a trusted technical advisor.
- Lead the design, build and ongoing improvement of CI/CD pipelines, supporting project teams with hands-on expertise and guidance.
- Partner with engineering, security and business stakeholders to align DevSecOps approaches with delivery goals and risk requirements.
- Provide coaching, mentoring and enablement to uplift capability across teams in DevSecOps tooling and practices.
- Collaborate with teams to address challenges, influence standards and drive continuous improvement across the DevSecOps framework.
- Take ownership of application security onboarding, automation, monitoring and alerting solutions across multiple environments.
- Support teams in diagnosing and resolving pipeline and security issues, taking a pragmatic, solutions-focused approach.
- Balance hands-on delivery with advisory responsibilities, prioritising work to meet project timelines and business objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in DevSecOps practices, with strong hands-on expertise and the ability to operate in a consultative role.
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tooling including Azure DevOps orchestration, JFrog, Sonar, Fortify, Kubernetes and Selenium.
- End-to-end experience designing, building and optimising CI/CD pipelines, including DevSecOps architecture and security integration.
- Experience with Azure DevOps is preferred, though AWS experience will also be considered.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset and ability to guide teams through complex technical challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, security and business teams.
