Contract Length: 6-month day-rate contract (with strong extension potential)

Role Overview
Our client, a large and well-established insurance organisation based in Dublin City Centre, is seeking an experienced Full Stack .NET / React / Azure Developer to join their technology team on an initial 6-month day-rate contract. This role will support the delivery of critical digital platforms and cloud-based solutions within a regulated enterprise environment.
The successful contractor will be a senior hands-on developer with strong backend expertise in .NET, modern frontend development using React, and proven experience delivering solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop and enhance full stack applications using .NET (C#) and React
- Build, deploy and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services
- Develop and support cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure
- Work closely with product owners, architects and delivery teams
- Contribute to technical design, best practices and architectural decisions
- Ensure high-quality code through testing, peer reviews and CI/CD pipelines
- Support and evolve existing enterprise systems in a large insurance environment
Required Experience & Skills
- 6+ years commercial software development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with .NET / C# (ASP.NET Core, Web API)
- Solid experience developing modern UIs using React
- Proven experience working in Microsoft Azure environments
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server and relational databases
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices and cloud security
- Background working in enterprise-scale or regulated environments (insurance or financial services preferred)
Nice to Have
- Exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery environments
- Prior insurance or financial services experience
