Senior Project Manager – Coast Guard & Navy
Are you ready to lead complex maritime projects that support a more sustainable future? ABB Marine & Ports is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to deliver high‑quality solutions for coast guard and navy vessels.
The role
You will be responsible for managing national and international projects from contract to vessel handover. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure progress, quality and financial control, and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of medium to large international projects
- Plan and monitor progress, cost and quality
- Assess and mitigate HSE and environmental risks
- Motivate and lead project teams (engineering, controlling, documentation, procurement)
- Maintain close communication with customers to ensure satisfaction
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Travel to shipyards and factories for meetings, FATs and safety tours (mainly in Europe)
- Manage contracts, changes, risks and opportunities
- Support bid work for navy projects
- Several years of experience as a Project Manager within maritime, industrial or technical environments
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree – relevant experience may compensate
- Structured, results‑oriented and confident in leading teams
- Strong collaboration and relationship‑building skills
- Fluent in English and German
- Must be eligible for security clearance under Norwegian law
